I had another stressful week but it ended up good. Better than I expected anyway. Looking forward for a break.
I have this co-worker that I don't know for sure if she's a mentally challenged person or just pretending to be. She's got all the drama you could possibly think about. Yesterday, she was working on something and suddenly she was in sharp pain and was crawling, you would know she was exaggerating a little and crawl her way to the break room. I felt bad though people were looking at her and she looked like she was making sure she was getting attention. On her way by the manager's office she grabbed the phone and called 911 herself while laying on the floor. A couple of minutes later the ambulance arrived. She was placed on the stretcher while the paramedics were hastily talking on the radio. I was hoping sincerely that she would be fine as well as the baby.
She's almost 6 months on the way and never gone to the doctor for a check up since she found out she was. No one knew until last week when she said the baby's foot was kicking. You can't tell that she is pregnant because she is huge and without carrying another life in her stomach she looks like she's close to giving birth.
This morning, she was showing off the picture of the baby to everybody. The baby is fine and is so huge as well for a 5 1/2 months old, and so is she. She was enthusiastic and highly spirited this morning as she walked in the door. Didn't seem like she suffered the 'unbearable sharp pain' she had the day before. Proud of her baby. The thing is, she's got barely a year old baby girl whose dad is a drug addict and can only hold a job for a week. Either he would get caught stealing or get caught dealing drugs with people at work. Who punches her everywhere and throws an iron at her, she would end up all bruised up coming to work. Whose license was revoked forever for getting caught so many times and driving with suspended license and on probation. And so many violations that ended of getting his license revoked and uncontested, according to her.
So many time she called DHS to try her luck claiming some support for her lazy and troublemaker boyfriend that she calls disable because his arm had an accident and unable to do most of the things because of that, but able to punch her hard enough to give her crossed eyes, even kill her. No luck. Kawawa. Not really, she's a druggie and feeds her baby beer to put her to sleep according to her close friends. Leaves the baby in the car while she's at the bar and drinking til she dozes, well with the boyfriend. Now, how could she afford to give a better future on the new life that she has on her belly with her situation right now.
"Marivic, can we trade bellies?" She goes
"Ahm, i don't think so B..." I replied
Came up to my other co-worker on a different occassion.
"Mary, can we trade lives?"
Mary just buzzed away laughing.
Good way to deal with that, right?

Things will ease up a bit in due time. Crisis lang baga, lilipas din.

This is the kind of life you don't want to live. Some people never learn and they deprive themselves of a meaningful life.
