Monday and still Home

Wonder why I am still lurking here in blogging world?

Your grandma is still sick. I feel like I am in the air. Worse than jetlag! I feel like I am soaring in the air even though I am pretty aware I'm just sitting on the carpet and working on my blogs! I wish I could compensates my losses by not going to work being sick because I am losing a lot of money. Argh! I wish I get better soon, I miss working. And U don't like wasting my time at home. But oh well, there's not much I can do I guess.
Anyways, yesterday, the nurse who took blood out of me was so careless. First she tried the needle on my right arm and I was laying down on the hospital bed and couldn't look at my right side otherwise it makes me sick to my stomach I was so ready to throw up on her, silly girl! so i just said to myself I'd trust her ability on the matter. I hate not being able to see what the nurses are doing to my body. She tried sucking out blood but to no avail, she was driving the needle in and out making it so painful for me to bear. Mixed with my nauseating feeling I endured the pain. It was hurting I could strangle her. Still not enough blood for them to test, tried my right hand and took her forever to draw enough blood -- again.

Can you imagine, whenever you turn to any other direction than the one you're head is used to your world is spinning so fast you can't even keep up and thus making you nauseate and sick to your stomach you'd rather pass out. I started taking medicine since yesterday, not really sure if working but if it is, then it must be a slow effect I can't even feel it.

What a Weekend

I had my day-off yesterday Saturday but unfortunately I have been sick since I woke in the morning. I woke up having dizziness and then it went on the whole day, thought it would be better the next morning today but it was worse. I have this vertigo that's really hard to deal. It is a condition when you cannot turn your head anywheres but where it is used to or you're gonna have a spinning world and would throw up endlessly. So today, my dear hubby took me to Urgent Care, they drew blood out of me, did EKG test to see if it has something to do with my heart activity. I have experienced the same condition back in the Philippines in 2004 and just took the medicine called Serc, it was very effective to me, apparently they don't sell the same drug here cause it is UK made and you can't buy medicine for vertigo here over the counter, you need to have a prescription. Seeing the doctor was another agony, 4 hours procedure was a little too hard for me to endure, after doing the EKG, they sent me to another room for CT-scan to make sure it has nothing to do with my brain. It felt like my brain is so swollen i can't move to the right side.

Finally back home, hubby is trying to get the medicine and I can't wait to take medication I am so in pain.

Having this Kind of Condition?

I am always interested in different changes on both men and womens body changes. Whether it's because of old age or simply a certain kind of disorder.

Facts say that there are 40 million American that suffer from erectile dysfunction. Not only in the United States but all men around the world could have have this dysfunction. Good thing about the moving generation and technology, studies show that there is a way to help cure that kind of disorder. There are available medication called PDE5 inhibitors that work very well to restore the ability of your performance. According to studies only 15% of men having the dysfunction get the treatment that they need. Also 85% of men are not using PDE5 inhibiting medication and are suffering this condition in silence, meaning they just don't address the problem and just get by with what they can do. Men who experience such a condition should not be deterred by embarrassment and seek help from professionals. At Tadalafil they have more info on how to deal with it. If you have erectile dysfunction, get treatment immediately.

Tadalafil has discovered a newly available generic equivalent to Cialis, which is acknowledged as the best available drug on the market. Consumers now can enjoy the benefit of generic Tadalafil, with the safety and efficacy it offers.

Chaos!

At 46 degrees fahrenheit, I'd see people in their T-shirt, in the Philippines sando, some guys in shorts and just a regular shirt, crazy, huh?! Women in tank tops and shorts, if that's in the Philippines people would freeze their a**es off, hehe. I love the combination of the sunny and cool breeze this time of year.

Crazy day, as usual. We were in total chaos at my morning job. Too far behind the schedule and couldn't get caught up until about half an hour later. Stressful day, just when it's almost over. I had one of the longest week ever in my adventure here in the USA. But, hey, I have my Saturday off this week, yay! It has been a long time since I had a Saturday off and I am really excited.

There was a guy this morning who, when I was going out of the door to hand out some things to the customer immediately opened the door for me and when i came back in he was there again to open the door. With a smile, toinks! I said "Oh thank you!" and when he turned his back to me to go back where he was standing, his pants on the right side on his bum was ripped off. Making all his entire right butt visible to me, I wanted to take back the sweetest smile that I gave him when he opened the door for me. Instead, i suddenly got scared and freak the hell out of me... Weird!

Well, Hello Spring!

A little late welcome huh!?
I have been gone for so long on the blogging world!

I apologize, there has been so many things going on over here in my little world, working about 70hours a week is hard... but the challenge it gives me takes me to the next level.

So, whats new?! Spring is here. I love that it is now bright outside most of the time unlike during winter it is mostly gloomy and sad outside. Now it looks like a lot more happy things to come. Hopefully.

Right now I have only an hour break in between jobs and sometimes I am able to sneak a power nap and it helps a lot to re-energize my body. But sometimes I don't have any and it makes me really tired and grumpy.

19 March 2008

Missing you...

It is officially Spring this coming Friday. To be honest with you I am not thrilled of the thought that we are heading to summer it is nice when it's warm for the majority of the people in the area but not me. I love the cold weather better than the hot and humid weather condition.

Hmmm... wonder what I have been doing lately? I think i just turned my working habits to a sickness called workaholism... Is there any such word? dunno for shoe, but, that might be true. Just have been so pre-occupied with lots of things here both at my jobs and at home.

I had two days off in a row but that was when i took advantage to get rest, well, at least i tried to get some but unfortunately to no avail.

I will be back to the track tomorrow, argh!

David Paterson Taking Over

New York has a new Governor.

Gov. David Paterson took his oath Monday afternoon in Albany-New York, becoming the 55th Governor of New York, the first ever black to hold the seat and would be the first legally blind person to serve more than a few days on office. Following Eliot Spitzer's resignation caused by the prostitution scandal he was dealing.

What to expect of the new Governor?

Listen to his own words:

"There is work to be done," Paterson said Monday. "There's trust that needs to be restored. There are issues that need to be addressed. And all of us . .. must be aware of one truth that rises above all else: It's that New York families are more challenged today than they were yesterday. And if we are going to build a viable future for New York, we are going to have to help single mothers who have two jobs. We are going to have to give children better schools and families who don't have health care some redress."

Much-needed Day off

My day off is when I could sit around for 2 hours without having to run or do anything. My life right now is either running late or having to be dragged out of the bed at 5 in the morning. How my life goes on right now has to be credited on how my husband's patience, faithfully supporting me on whatever goals or pursuits I have.

And today is my day 0ff on my afternoon job. I basically work 7days a week. No more dances and night outs. I can't even do house chores at all anymore. Hubby is the one doing the dishes, laundry and all the other stuff. I feel bad.

Tomorrow is another day off but we plan to go downtown and have my SSN changed to my married name. Seems a little too late, huh?! I never really had the chance to do so since I started working and now it is a necessity to get done for some important papers I am processing right now. I would say it is going to be as stressful as my immigration process was, or halfway if at all. But the result would be equally worth it all as well.

Also, the reason why I haven't posted any the past few days. I have been so exhausted that I have to be literally dragged out of the bed in the morning, my body simply gives up. But, I had a couple of hours sleep this afternoon so that helped a lot. Although it seems like it would take a whole week's uninterrupted sleep before I could actually catch up.

Your Domain Name

Now that I have time to visit my friends' blogs I couldn't open most of them! Others won't open, others have gazillion pop-ups!

It's really a pain. One thing that I learned on buying a domain name is NEVER buy a domain name other than the site that's hosting your blog. So, for example, your blog is hosted by blogspot/blogger buy a domain name from them otherwise you're gonna have a problem eventually on opening your site because it doesn't always connect to the server. Three times happened on some of my friends' site thats on my list. I am glad I bought my domain name from blogspot even though it's more expensive (not by much) than others like godaddy.com i believe i made the right decision. Some of the guideline as on my Credits section on the right side below.

When opened some sites, not all of them it said that, the domain name is not owned by blogspot/blogger thus it has having a problem redirecting to the blogger server. But i don't think it always happens, I am aware that blogger has some issues itself but it's just some tips.

On my way there...

Lately, I feel like I have neglected myself. I have completely focused on reaching my goals and dreams. I didn't care if I eat right or not eat at all. But now, I am beginning to realize again that I have to take care of my health and my body. I still have the same enthusiasm and getting more intense as the time approaches when the time I start going back to campus schooling. I am very excited. Back in my college days I used to write short stories and abstract poetries but when I quit college and chose to work instead of finishing my course, but this time I hope to continue writing and hopefully become a professional writer, so help me God. I know I can only hope and do my best at every step that I do. I imagine that, as long as you crave for what you want and find a way to get it, you're definitely gonna get there no matter how steep the terrain is.

So many inspirations around me as well as there are some sad stories behind everything. But it's our attitude that would make us grow and believe in what we do would take us wherever we wanna go.

I totally don't complain about working hours, it is very fulfilling for me. Little accomplishments are appreciated, and they sure would lead to some bigger success. And when you get there you'd say, "It wasn't that hard". And continue on living up your dreams.

Great new scales by Escali

Did you guys know there is a new line of scales available from Escali? I recently found out about how handy a scale can be for measuring food in the kitchen. I bought one of these recently and it helps me because I like to keep track of calories, so I can measure things and keep to my diet better.

These new scales are really sleek looking and fit so nicely with the decor in the kitchen. They don't take up much space and they are also extremely accurate. They have a dishwasher safe glass bowl and I never worry about miscalculating the weight of the bowl because it's automatically taken care of with a tare function.

I would highly recommend that you head over to bathroom scale
and check out the variety of scales offered and find out how affordable they are as well.

Never-ending Pop-ups on Your sites

I haven't had enough time on the computer lately but yesterday when I got a little time I tried to open my co-bloggers' site and all of them have pop-ups and not only once but every after 2 secs! Could you imagine how annoying that is when you're reading and then suddenly there's a huge banner to pop-up on the screen, next to that, your screen would switch to another page that's another spam! Also, when I used hubby's computer to just visit my own site there were pop-ups as well.

What's going on with the blogsites?

Manila and NY

Another beautiful day in Central New York. Just glad, (again) it's almost weekend. The week actually went by so fast. I am home early today and hubby would be home in a couple of hours. I could feel the spring is really coming in now. It is very amazing how the weather changes here, from one extreme to the other. This hour you'd fall inlove with it the next you'd be heartbroken because it would start snowing so bad and ice again. Hayyy.

To be honest, I don't mind the snow. It's beautiful. I don't like when it's hot. I feel like I'd pass out. Even when I was in the Philippines, I have headache everyday because of the temperature and I don't want that especially in Manila. Too polluted and crowded, make it even more intolerable.

But I miss Manila despite of all the odds over there.

Gotta Have My Oysters!

Be Informed, Cautious, Smart, Sure

I first tried oysters as a kid. My father would go down to the shore and catch some and bring them home to us. I thought they were delicious when I tried them for the first time. We would eat them raw from the shell. My sister didn't really like them, so I would always scarf hers up and eat hers too, hehehehe!! Since then I have always looked for oysters that tasted as good as those did. They were so fresh, wholesome and I always knew somehow that they were really good for you.

It wasn't until I got older that I actually investigated the benefits of oysters. They are lower in fat and cholesterol than the vast majority of fish that people regularly eat. They have lots of vitamins and minerals as well. Did I mention the sexual benefits for men? WHAT? You didn't know how they increase testosterone levels in men? Well, let me tell you, just get your mate to consume a few on a night that, well, you know, you might be thinking about an intimate evening together? My guess is that you will thank me.

There has been a lot of new ideas in the safe processing of Gulf Coast oysters, and I'm glad because I do love them so much. You have to be careful when consuming raw oysters and there is a new post-harvest method that is greatly reducing the concern for consumers health risks. There are three methods that are currently being used. They are individual quick freezing, heat cool pasteurization, and high hydrostatic pressure. I know not many companies are implementing these techniques, but I'm hoping to make more aware that they can go along way in helping people get more fresh oysters, benefit from them and not have to risk their health. You can find out all about it: Gulf oysters Thanks!

Hey, Mr. Officer

While I was heading to my sidejob this afternoon I was walking on the opposite traffic flow. I was going uphill and while talking to my husband on the phone and walking on the side of the road when I heard a car coming and when I looked up it was a Police car passing like a bullet train. At first I thought he's driving too fast because he's responding to some emergencies but noticed the lights weren't on. I looked at the driver's direction he looked so serious or maybe just his facial expression. I was so sure he was going beyond the speed limit. I had to move to the ditch because I felt like he could have blown me away. I didn't even notice if he moved over at all?

Is there any exceptions when you're the one implementing the law? I think that's only in the Philippines, hmm?

Winter Would Soon Bye-Bye

Trail

Hah! It was 50 today... people were rejoicing, others were wearing short-shorts. Weeh sorry, I don't really like hot weather, especially when it's humid. But, for a change on a winter season, yes it is something to cherish on. Officially, winter would be over and spring would take place. All the now-dead trees would start to grow back up again. Back to green!

Also, the days are getting longer. It used to be still light until 9pm until the daylight saving time that it started to get dark as early as 5pm, and now it is going to be back to usual which is weird I am used to be like this, light at 6am and dark at 5pm just like in the Philippines. The first time I got here was Spring and almost 9pm taas pa ang araw! Still sunny... and it felt weird going to bed when the sun is still up.

Frozen Lake

Yesterday, we got to have a little fun drivin up the road an walked the dog. He enjoyed it as much as we did. (well I did) We drove by the lake which is currently frozen. Passed by some kids clearing up the snow to make up some ice to skate on. On the lake! And others are fishing, running around and playing with the dogs. It was a beautiful day and very rarely they get such sunny days.

Beautiful Sunday

It is a beautiful Sunday here in Central New York. The sun is brightly shining. And not snowing, hmmm nice huh!? And so we are going to have small ride up the road and maybe take some pictures while my laundry is on progress, hehe.

Rudy our dog is happy he could have a little stroll also. Who wouldn't be? I am happy too. Few hours before i go back to work I can still have time to bod with the family.
